Instructions for use
To activate:
Firmly press or flex the metal disc until it clicks then release.
Pack will turn white and heat up for 45-60 minutes. (Longer if put into
an insulated holder.) Repeat if necessary. Knead pack to
soften. (If the temperature is too extreme, wrap a thin towel
around the heat pack or put into neoprene holder before using.)
To reactivate:
Put the hardened pack into boiling water. Fully immerse the pack in a
pan of cold water and bring to boil for approximately 5 minutes or until
the crystals are completely liquefied, then remove from water.
When the pack cools down, it is ready to be used again. (Place towel in
bottom of pan prior to boiling. See warnings)
WARNINGS:
Do not microwave Instant Hot Packs – Metal disc inside pack could cause
damage to your microwave and Pack
Do not place on a hot dry surface or in the oven
Do not puncture
Do not allow to contact the base of the pan when reactivating.
The contents of the hot pack are non-toxic.
IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions for hot packs
carefully before using.
Standard Hot/Cold Gel Packs Only:
TO HEAT USING A MICROWAVE:
Place pack flat in microwave. Heat pack at full power (based on
650 watt) for 1.5 minutes. (Less time for higher wattage
microwave) Test temperature of pack before use. If additional heat
is desired, heat in 10 seconds intervals and check temperature at the
end of each interval. Write down time for future use.
TO HEAT USING BOILING WATER:
Simply place the pack in a bowl of hot water (approx. 80 degree Celsius)
for 5 minutes. Test temperature of pack before use.
FOR COLD COMPRESS:
Store in the freezer for 30 - 60 minutes prior to using. Remove
from freezer and place chilled cold pack inside cloth cover before use.
WARNING:
Always use hot/cold compress inside a cloth cover. Direct
application of compress to skin could cause burns.
Do not use cold compress if you have circulation problems.
Do not swallow gel. If accidentally swallowed, drink warm water to
dilute, contact physician. Discard compress if punctured or torn.
